Apple released tool for Flashback Malware

Recently apple has released a tool that will fixed all Mac Computers which are infected by Flashback Trojan, According to Apple,”This Java security update removes the most common variants of the Flashback malware”

Apple released this security update after a week, last Wednesday russian antivirus company reported that 600,000 Mac OS X computers has been infected by “Flashback” Trojan.

Two days ago Apple first time recognized Flashback malware which infected thousands of Mac computers and said it was working on this trojan and provides security update.

This trojan spread through malicious website, means if any of Macs users visits a malicious website, then Flashback malware install itself and then then steal personal information through web-browser.

Apple said on the support page that, “This update is recommended for all Mac users with Java installed.” and also stated the how this update works,”This Java security update removes the most common variants of the Flashback malware. This update also configures the Java web plug-in to disable the automatic execution of Java applets. Users may re-enable automatic execution of Java applets using the Java Preferences application. If the Java web plug-in detects that no applets have been run for an extended period of time it will again disable Java applets.
