Dreamhost issued a security warning on their blog for all customers to change the Shell/FTP passwords. According to Dreamhost Status Blog,
Last night we detected some unauthorized activity within one of our databases. While we don’t have evidence that customer passwords were taken at this time, we’re forcing a change out of caution. Please login to our web panel and change any passwords you may have with us. We’ll keep this post updated as we get more information.
This is the second time within week, when hackers targeted to these big websites, Dreamhost don’t give any clue of the hack, beyond this they ask to customers change thier Shell/Ftp passwords, these account used to access and maintains user websites.
