Facebook is testing a new features across the site that help users to make their status update more visible. This new features is Facebook Highlight.
Facebook Highlight is a pay-to-promote system. Yes by paying a fees you can make your status update to more visible to friends and family. On Average only 12% of your facebook friends see your status update.
Currently this features is not generally available, It’s only available to tested among Facebook’s New Zealand users and at this movement it is only for average user not for pages .

According to Facebook spokesman about Facebook Highlight,
We’re constantly testing new features across the site. This particular test is simply to gauge people’s interest in this method of sharing with their friends.
Need of Facebook Highlight:-
Ever you update any status, and a very few of your friends respond on your status, the first thought which came in mind that my friends are ignoring me or whatever, But the reality is Only 12% of your friends see your average status update.
But sometimes you have an update, like I need Blood Donor, and want to make sure that this status update is reached to all of your friends. So at that time Facebook Highlight will boost your update and improve more visibility by placing your update on higher in news feed, visible for longer and appear to more friends and subscribers.
But without proper restrictions it may go into wrong hand and they can used it for their own benefit.
Facebook Highlight Price:-
Facebook Highlight is testing on different price points ranging from free to $2.00 USD.
It is also true that with the start of this feature Facebook beginning the paid social networking and many also comparing Facebook highlight to the Tumblr features, recently tumblr also rolled out a feature in which users can make posts stand out on their follower’s dashboards in some money.
