Here is example of knob face or koobface hoax facebook status messages-

Some spam messages are spreading on facebook and warns user about trojan worm virus called knob face or koobface and also warns users to do not open the barack obama clinton scandal.

ATTENTION!!!!!!-Virus spreading like wildfire on Facebook!!

It is a Trojan worm called “Knob Face”. It will steal your info, invade your system and shut it down! DO NOT open the link “Barack Obama Clinton scandal”. If “Smartgirl 15″ adds you, don’t accept it; it is a virus. If somebody on your list adds her then you will get the virus, too!! Copy and paste to your wall please!!

What is Reality or Truth:-

These spam messages are circulating over facebook since 2010 and from then many of facebook users are spreading or posting these fake status update on their walls, without even thinking its accuracy. Here is what Hoax Slayer suggests,

“this message contains so much false and misleading information, it is in no way a valid warning about Koobface. Sending on the message will do nothing more than confuse users and diffuse the usefulness of genuine computer security warnings. If you receive this message, please do not repost it to others.”

Step 3:- Go into the extracted folder, and right-click on kavkis.msi, and click on extract here, This will extract a single cbi.dll file, copy and cut this file.

Step 4:- Now you have to manually create Kaspersky antivirus directory, So go to C:\program files\ and create a folder with name  Kaspersky Lab. Go into that folder and create another folder called Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013 and Paste the cbi.dll file into the Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013 folder.

The directory structure will look like this for 32-bit system,

C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013

or for 64-bit system:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013

Step 5:- Now you need to create another directory structure, like step 4,

For Windows Vista, 7 and 8:-

C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\AVP13\Data

For Windows XP :-

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab\AVP13\Data

Step 6:- Go back to extracted folder(step 3), and double-click on Kavkis.cab file and inside it you will find a file name _1AA7CD13.key and copy and paste this license file into the data folder created from step 5.

Step 7:- Now download Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013 setup installer from this link and installed it on your desktop. To activate license you don’t have to do anything, Kaspersky automatically activate the key. Make sure you have internet access during the process.

To turn your android smartphone as web cam we are using an android app called, IP Webcam and wireless signal.

IP webcam is a simple android app that able you to quickly turn your android smartphone into a network camera with multiple viewing options and best of all is it works without Internet Connection.

IP Webcam allows you to stream your videos on any platform with VLC palyer or web browsers. You can also use IP Webcam with tinyCam Monitor on another android device or with third-party MJPG software, including video surveillance software, security monitors and most audio players.

How to Use your Smartphone as Web Cam:-

Step 1:- Download IP Webcam from Google Play Store.

Step 2:- Now Open IP Webcam app on your smartphone and choose your desired settings from Video Preferences such as, Video Resolution, Photo Resolution, Video Quality, Video Orientation (Landscape, portrait, upside down, upside down portrait) etc and then click on Start Server from bottom of page.

Step 3:- Now video streaming start on your android phone with your local IP and active connections, so copy this IP and paste it on your browser.

Step 4:- If you want to stream videos from your android phone to your browser then add videofeed at last of your IP, for example- http://192.168.1.100:8080/videofeed.

IP Webcam lets you to view your camera in several ways including-

• Open stream in media player, such as VLC
• Open remote control panel for use with mediaplayers and third-party software
• Use java browser plugin
• Use javascript to update frames in browser, for IE, Playstation and Wii. Use, if your browser do not support MJPG natively
• Use browser built-in viewer (not supported by some browsers)
• Use tinyCam Monitor on another Android device
• Use IP Cam Viewer on another Android device (external link)
• Connect to PC for use with Skype and other videochats on Windows
