The New chrome 17 stable version improves your browsing and security experience with lots of features including page preloading features, file scanning technologies etc. The Chrome version 17.0.963.46 also patches some major security vulnerabilities found by researchers as part of Google’s bug bounty program.
“On the security front, Chrome now does even more to help protect you from malicious downloads. In addition to checking a list of known bad files, Chrome also does checks on executable files (like “.exe” and “.msi” files). If the executable doesn’t match a white list, Chrome checks with Google for more information, such as whether the website you’re accessing hosts a high number of malicious downloads.”, According to Noé Lutz, Software Engineer and Malware Vigilante.
