Hacking Software: Scanner Tools

Share |

Scanner Tools is used for to check the server or host for open ports. This is used to verify security policies of the network by admin and attackers also used to identify the running services on a host. So here are the top scanner tools.

1. Nmap :- This tool developed by Fyodor is one of the best Unix and windows based port scanners. This advanced port scanner has a number of useful arguments that gives user a lot of control over the process.                                                                                                                                                                                                    Read Full Article At: Scan Network with ZeNmapdownload

2.GFI Lan Guard:-  GFI LANguard scans your network and ports to detect, assess and correct security vulnerabilities with minimal administrative effort. As an administrator, you have to deal
separately with problems related to vulnerability issues, patch management and network auditing,
at times using multiple products. However, with GFI LANguard these three cornerstones of
vulnerability management are addressed in one package.                                                                                              Read Full Article At: GFI Lan Guard Security Scanner Tools

3. AATools Port Scanner :- The AATools Port Scanner analyzes hosts and all the different services started on them. The Port Scanner accurately determines active services on the appropriate host using TCP/UDP port interrogations. It includes an internal database currently reporting on 4257 ports (officially assigned, unofficially used, or currently affected by network Trojan Horses).

4.Superscan:- SuperScan is a free Windows-only closed-source TCP/UDP port scanner by Foundstone. It includes a variety of additional networking tools such as ping, traceroute, http head, and whois.

5.Nessus:- The Nessus is a vulnerability scanner for active scanners, featuring high-speed discovery, configuration auditing, asset profiling, sensitive data discovery and vulnerability analysis of your security posture. Nessus scanners can be distributed throughout an entire enterprise, inside
DMZs and across physically separate networks.

6.Net Tools:- Net Tools is a comprehensive set of host monitoring, network scanning, security, administration tools and much more, all with a highly intuitive user interface. It’s an ideal tool for those who work in the network security, administration, training, internet forensics or law enforcement internet crimes fields.

7.Unicornscan:- Unicornscan is an attempt at a User-land Distributed TCP/IP stack for information gathering and correlation. It is intended to provide a researcher a superior interface for introducing a stimulus into and measuring a response from a TCP/IP enabled device or network. Some of its features include asynchronous stateless TCP scanning with all variations of TCP flags, asynchronous stateless TCP banner grabbing, and active/passive remote OS, application, and component identification by analyzing responses.
