System Restore as its name as same it works, it is used to roll back of system files, registry keys, installed programs etc. to a previous state. So Always create a restore point before installing new software, editing in registry keys & software and installing a new theme, So this your system files will be safe.
So here i am sharing the how to create a restore point in Windows XP, Vista, 7 & 8.
Create System Restore Point in Win 8:-
Step 1:- Click on Start button and click on search and then click on the Settings
Step 2:- Type “restore point” into the search box and press enter.
Step 3:- Now click on the “Create a restore point”
Step 4:- Now System Properties Windows opens, click on your System Partition drive and then click on create button.
Step 5:- Now type the restore point name and click on create and your restore point will be created.
To use system restore point in win 8, type “restore” into the search box and click on “Restore your computer to an earlier time” and pick the restore point which you created previous.
Create System Restore Point in Win 7:-
Step 1:- Click on Start button, type “create restore” and click on “Create a Restore Point”.
Step 2:- Now on System Properties Windows opens, click on your System Partition drive and then click on create button.
Step 3:- Enter the restore point name and click on create button.
To use system restore point in win 7, type “restore” into the search box and click on “System restore” and choose the restore point and processed.
Create System Restore Point in Win Vista:-
Step 1:- Right-click on the Computer icon in the Desktop, and choose Properties.(click start and type SystemPropertiesProtection.exe)
Step 2:- In the left pane, click System Protection
Step 3:- If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Step 4:- Click the System Protection tab, and then click Create.
To Use System Restore point in win vista, go to system tools and click on the System Restore and click on next button and then select “Choose a different restore point” and select the restore point.
Create System Restore Point in Win XP:-
Step 1:- Click on Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and click on System Restore.
Step 2:- Click on the Create a restore point radio button and then click Next.
Step 3:- Now give your restore point a description and click the Create button.
To use system restore point in win XP, click on the System Restore tool again and choose “Restore my computer to an earlier time”, now click on the date and choose the restore point and restore your computer..
