Install Back Track 4 on Windows 7 as a Virtual OS Using Oracle VM Virtual Box Manager

Hello Everyone,

BackTrack is a Linux-based penetration testing arsenal that aids security professionals in the ability to perform assessments in a purely native environment dedicated to hacking. Today I will share with you how to install Back Track 4 on windows 7 using Oracle VM Virtual Box. For install Back Track 4  follow the below steps.

Step1: First of all download the Oracle VM Virtual Box and than install.

Step2: Now download the backtrack 4

Step3: Open Oracle VM Virtual Box and click on New Button and click Next

Step4: On next screen it prompt the VM Name or OS Type. Write Back Track 4 as VM Name and Choose the version of OS, In our case select Win 7.

Step5: Now click Next and leave it default and again click on next button it will ask for to create new hard disk.

Step6: Click on next button

Step7: Click Next and leave all to default till finish button

Step8: Now click on Finish button after this step our Back Track 4 VM is Created

Step9: Now Click on Back Track 4 VM and click on Setting Tab and adjust the Base Memory as your need and click Ok.

Step10: Now click on setting tab than storage and click on IDE Controller Empty Disk and see the attributes on right side and browse or choose the Back Track 4  Image file and click ok.

Step11: Now click on start and than select

Start BackTrack Frame Buffer (1024×768) and Press Enter

Step12: Now you see the Back Track konsole(Terminal Program) and type Here Startx and hit enter.

Step13: Now Back Track 4 is installed on your pc give thanks to me.Smile
