Last Week, Microsoft announced the logo for the upcoming release of Windows 8 which is in the same Metro Ui aesthetic as windows 8 itself.
With this new logo, Microsoft broke their brand image, yes its logo, a famous colourful glossy flag for an angled set of blue windows, As Microsoft said on the new logo, “Its a Windows…Not a Flag.” But honestly people love to their old flag logo.
So 99 Designs Organised a “Just for Fun” Guaranteed contenst to the Redesign of Windows 8 logo held by Archon System Inc(Cretors of inFlow Inventory). They Said on their blog post, “So, when Microsoft announced a complete redesign of their Windows logo yesterday, it struck up a lively conversion in the office. Some people thought it was a step in the right direction while others thought it needed refinement.”
“We weren’t alone in our opinions either. Judging by all the comments on the Microsoft blog, TechCrunch, and engadget , people were really passionate about how the way Windows 8 will look!, This made us think, why don’t we give people the chance to design their own Windows 8 logo, just for fun?”
So if you are a designer and want to higlight yourself then create a windows 8 logo and submit it to 99 Designs, and if you will be choosed for winner, you will be awarded by $295 prise and also attract many bloggers eye on you and your logo.
