[Solved] Unexpected Kernel Mode Trap Error in windows 8

Few weeks ago, when i installed windows 8 on my system, my system  crashed randomly and showing Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) with this message UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP, At first, i thought maybe my windows is corrupted and thus the blue screen error came again and again but later i discovered that one of my drivers occurred all the issues. So today, i am sharing some possible ways that helps to fix this unexpected kernel mode trap error.


How to fix Unexpected Kernel Mode Trap Error-

Mostly UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP error generated due to hardware failure/incompatible device drivers/software failures or when two hardware  or component conflict each other. so just follow below steps-

Remove Hardware

Remove any hardware that you may have installed or attached recently. sometimes - pen drive, memory cards can also occurred BSOD error.

Uninstall Software

If the BSOD error generated whenever you are using any specific software then uninstall that particular software or install the latest version that supports version 8. In my case, i am using Connectify old version and this occurred all errors.

Update Drivers

Update all your PCs drivers with the latest version and this may help to fix blue screen issues in your windows 8.

Boot into Last Known Good Configuration

If the above solutions doesn’t help to resolve your issues, then restart your pc and press F8 before the Windows logo appears and then choose  Last Known Good Configuration.
