The URL play the major role in all phishing attack, attacker used the URL Obfuscation in Phishing Attack.
URL(Uniform Resource Locator) obfuscated is also known as hyperlink trick and commonly used in the address bar of a web browser to access a particular website. In a simple way we can say that in this attack the real url that a user is directed to is obfuscated – or concealed – to encourage the user to click-through to the spoof Web site.
For Example, the attacker may use a very similar or cleverly misspelled domain name such as facebouk.com instead of facebook.com or hide this url in text, such as click here to verify your account now. This is commonly used in phishing attacks and other spam emails.
or attacker also used the dotless IP Addresses. Hacker changed the valid Url Ip addresses to their fake website IP address using hexidecimal or decimal notations. So when any user click on that link it will reach to the hacker website.
