Windows 8 release preview coming on June first week

Microsoft Stephen Sinofsky made the announcement at developers meeting in Tokyo that windows 8 “release preview” coming to june first week.

The release preview is the follow up of the developer preview released in september, 2011 and the consumer preview released in february, 2012.

“The current release, which is referred to as a Customer Preview, would have in the past been called a beta. The next release, which now appears to be scheduled for June, is apparently being called a release preview. Formerly this would likely have been simply called a release candidate.”

Microsoft also announced on last week that, windows 8 comes in three editions including Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro and Windows RT.

The Windows 8 edition is the official product name for the next x86/64 editions of Windows, windows 8 Pro for high performance or techies user and windows RT for ARM processor based tablets.
